Disadvantages of Active Filters

Introduction :

Active filters have main four disadvantages which are following.

» As OP-AMP has a finite gain bandwidth product, Active filters are limited in their frequency Range.

»It requires D.C power supply for their operation.

»Active filter can't handle large amount of power.

» it are only suitable for low or moderate frequiencies.
